The vinification was carried out separately in small steel tanks, respecting the different varietal characteristics during the fermentation phases.
Alcoholic fermentation was followed by malolactic fermentation, also in steel tanks. The wine was aged for 10 months, partly in barriques previously used for Ornellaia and partly in concrete tanks, to achieve a perfect balance between tannic structure and fruit expression.
With its signature ruby red color with purple highlights, Le Volte dell’Ornellaia is characterized on the nose by lively notes of red fruit accompanied by delicate spices.
On the palate, the wine is well-balanced in all its components, successfully combining a smooth and supple tannic texture with a fresh acidity that lends the wine a crisp and pleasant finish.
