Don Onofrio takes its name from the district where the vineyards are located. It is made with 80% Magliocco and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification takes place initially in stainless steel, followed by six months in oak barrels.
It presents a very interesting complexity on the nose. Initially, aromas of red fruit dominate: blackberries, cherries, dried plums, or black cherries in syrup, along with subtle notes of rose petals and violets.
Along with spicy notes of cloves, star anise, black pepper, and chocolate.
Elegant and refined tannins are evident on the palate. It is a powerful wine capable of challenging the most discerning palates.
