Maison Roederer creates its Rosé Brut "Vintage" with the aim of concentrating a single vintage in a single bottle.
The grapes come from 35 small parcels within the "Rivière" vineyard in the Cumeriès and Chouilly crus: only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, in varying percentages depending on the vintage, but with a larger proportion, two-thirds Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is the true star, and a slow, lengthy fermentation extracts its rich and powerful qualities.
Only 11% of the wine undergoes its first fermentation in wood.
The blending is an extremely delicate phase, performed with meticulous precision, followed by secondary fermentation and bottle aging, which yields creamy and elegant bubbles.
